Name: Louise Celica, RN ^_^
Character's Position: Your favorite pediatrics nurse (I hope)
Age: 28
Specialty: Pediatric nursing
History: Louise grew up in New Jersey, a small town that usually isn’t even mentioned as a city in New Jersey. Her family consisting of a mother—Amy, father—Michael, and brother—Daniel, was always moderately happy. They got along well, and their only consistent concern was money. They weren’t poor, but they weren’t particularly well off, either. Her mother is a nurse, and her father a paramedic; after sustaining an injury on the job, Michael had to stop working. Since then, money had been tight.
This only encouraged her to work harder in school, so she wouldn’t have to burden her parents with excessive college tuition. The hard work paid off, and she was accepted to an accredited nursing program in a small Pennsylvania college.
She spent four years working hard to earn her bachelor's of nursing science degree, and began working right after she received it in a small family healthcare office. After working for a year, a coworker suggested that Louise return to school to get her master's degree in nursing. "You have a talent," she had said.
Taking it to heart, Louise did return to school, and during her final year of studying for her master's degree, she found out that the office she was working in was closing. Flustered, she knew she had to find a way to pay for school--and money wasn't going to be coming from work anymore. She weighed her options, and applied to Princeton Plainsboro Teaching hospital, hoping they had an opening for her anywhere, preferably in pediatrics or the clinic, maybe even all of the above. She'd take anything at this point, so long as she could work with children.
When she received notice back that she needed to go in for an interview, Louise went in the next day, impressing the head physician with her confidence and politeness. Excited, Louise was sent home that day with a new job at hand. She would be starting as soon as her office closed, which was less than a week away.
Personality: Louise is a dedicated, hard-working young woman, who wants to get her masters degree in nursing, allowing her to work as an Advanced Practice Nurse, letting her use her talents to work with children. She’s patient and friendly, which allows her to work with children very well.
Outside of work, she’s still amicable, though shy. The confidence she exudes for her patients and their families is reserved for them only, everyone else gets a much more subdued Louise in conversation. Despite being shy, she’s cheery and optimistic; just quiet about it.
Work History: Primarily, Louise did her clinical work in a fairly large hospital, working there for a decent amount of time before leaving to work in a private practice. As the practice she worked in was closing, she applied to PPTH so she’d still have a job.
